Ebook Software Inventor Signs with Top Technology Agent

Imagine an ebook page capable of displaying any font, any language ... any printed image. Imagine being able to read instantly, anytime and anywhere, any book, magazine, catalog or magazine ever published. Imagine viewing clear type and crisp images in original format on a portable device with facing screens that emulates the "look and feel" of a physical book.

Inventor Robert M. Case has developed the ReadAllOver(tm) ebook software to enable just such a device. Case recently has signed for representation with intellectual property agency yet2.com. Founded in 2000 by Ben Du Pont, yet2.com offers the world’s largest technology transfer website with the yet2.com "Marketplace" and is an industry leader in the sale of IP assets. Executive Vice President of yet2.com, Tim Bernstein, is the agent for Case's ReadAllOver ebook technology.

Covered by three issued and two pending U.S. patents, ReadAllOver is based on digital halftoning that may be easily compressed for transmission and storage. In contrast to other halftoning methods, ReadAllOver balances abrupt edge detail with smooth transitions, enabling typography and images to be processed simultaneously.

The ReadAllOver system is positioned as an eBook file format competitor to .pdf, .jpg and .jp2. Because of its novelty, ReadAllOver easily may be coupled with DRM and just-in-time delivery to “always-on” client devices for the rendering of complex pages.

ReadAllOver is seen as a value-added software component to a dedicated eBook hardware device offered by a major book retailer.
