Exciting New Developments for Ground Probing Radar

As a firm on the forefront of ground probing radar (GPR) technology, industry leader Subtechnics has recently appointed Jonathan Wainwright to the team as Software Development Manager to further enhance their innovative radar data translation software, RDXPro.

RDXPro was originally borne from a need to simplify the translation of complicated radar data into an easy to read drawing format, some 8 years ago. Since then, this unique software platform has revolutionised the way in which Subtechnics conduct their radar utility surveys by streamlining the process, increasing the accuracy, whilst reducing the time taken to conduct the surveys.

Subtechnics Director, Craig Simmonds, states, “As the leading independent provider of utility mapping and ground radar surveys, Subtechnics are not limited to using one radar system or type of technology, but are able to match the very best in GPR technology to suit the project needs. It’s this unique model which is now being replicated in RDXPro.”

By embracing emerging technology and exploring innovations in the GPR industry, Subtechnics are leading the way in radar software development and are improving their software to incorporate different forms of radar data.

The new software package is being developed alongside a completely new hardware platform that is designed to dramatically increase the accuracy of carriageway utility survey works whilst drastically reducing the required site time. The system is targeted at being able to fully map 1,200m of carriageway, by its full width, without traffic management in a single operating shift.
