Gentleware AG, a leader in innovative visual modeling tools, has joined the b+m Informatik AG (b+m group), a service provider for customized software solutions in industries that include finance, trade, healthcare, and logistics. The merger combines Gentleware's expertise in the modeling tool sector with b+m's leadership in open source and Model-Driven Software Development (MDSD) technologies, such as the openArchitectureWare generator framework.
Gentleware is widely renowned for its superior visual modeling tools Poseidon for UML and Apollo for Eclipse, but its premium consulting services are less known. The company now aims to bring these talents to the forefront with a strategic move to join the b+m group. With its many years of experience in industrial-scale software projects and intensive use of model-driven development technologies, b+m has proven to be an ideal partner for this strategic expansion. Together, both companies can produce custom tools and services for domain-specific languages (DSLs), model-to-model transformations, and code generators that increase productivity and quality for customers’ projects. These expanded b+m group capabilities will benefit the large number of companies who are seeking comprehensive model-driven solutions to their software development challenges.
