IntruGuard Launches Certification Program
IntruGuard Launches Certification Program
IntruGuard | 21 Jun 2008
IntruGuard Devices, Inc., the leading Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) solution provider, introduced its engineer certification program called IntruGuard Certified DDoS Mitigation Engineer (ICDME).
DDoS attacks have grown significantly in the past year. Existing knowledgebase of firewall, switching, routing or IPS technology is not enough for mitigating DDoS attacks. A new breed of engineers is needed who understand the threats and the mitigation techniques using the new category of appliances available today.
“By offering the ICDME certification, we are creating deeper understanding of a problem that we see people struggling with in the data center. Trained and certified engineers will understand the tools and techniques that the attackers use and will know how to thwart such attacks”, says Hemant Jain, Co-founder and CTO of IntruGuard. “Given the popularity and success of our appliances globally, we continue to meet our customers’ needs through skills assessment aimed at today's rapidly-evolving job requirements,” he says.
Entry Level Exam to Assess Intermediate and Advanced Skills
As the entry-level certification of IntruGuard, ICDME represents a strong foundation and understanding of DDoS attacks, troubleshooting and mitigation. The exams are based on customer feedback for addressing emerging threats. The certification’s purpose is to identify individuals within its customer and partner organizations who can effectively diagnose and resolve the DDoS problems inherent in today's data centers. The certification mandates written and oral examinations involving multiple-choice and scenario-based questions.
