LyGil Software Opens the BetaTestNow Website

LyGil Software today announced the opening of BetaTestNow, a website dedicated to giving software companies or website designers access to a large pool of beta testers to test their products, and allowing beta testers a wide range of software projects to chose from.

All functions of the website are free – there are no hidden charges.

What is BetaTestNow?

The BetaTestNow website has two primary sections:
1 - The companies section, where software Companies or website designers can register and search for beta testers for their products.

2 – The testers section, where beta testers can register and search for products to test.

A company can register multiple products for beta testing. Each product listing has attributes such as software category, operating system platform and types of remuneration for beta testers.

When performing a search for beta testers, the software attributes are compared against each beta tester’s preferences. If there is a match then the beta tester is added to the potential testers list.

Beta testers can also search for products that meet there needs based on their preferences. A list of compatible software/websites is produced and they can pick the most appropriate software to apply to beta test.

There are three levels of remuneration available- free (gratis), free license given or hourly rate. However once the software company and beta tester are in contact with each other, they are free to negotiate any conditions that they wish.

Ease of use is a feature. All companies and beta testers need do is register and set their preferences. They can either then wait until they are contacted by another company / beta tester or can proactively search for products / beta testers.

There are also beta tester resources and forums available on the site.

The BetaTestNow website is a project from LyGil Software. They are a software production company based near Perth, Western Australia.

They have been in business since 1996 and produce bespoke software for small to medium sized businesses.

Their software development is mainly done in a RAD (Rapid Application Development) environment called Clarion (Available from Softvelocity inc).

They have recently embarked on a program of modifying and releasing some of their custom software for public sale.
