Modu Tech Framed for Success with DEACOM Manufacturing Software

Modu Tech, a building component manufacturing and framing company, recently selected the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to manage its sales order entry, scheduling, inventory control, production, labor data collection, document management, purchasing, and accounting in one software system.

The manufacturing arm of Heil Builders, Modu Tech produces wall panels, floor and roof trusses, and engineered lumber for general contractors throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Modu Tech also offers installed sales, preconstruction meetings, and exhaustive plans review, which are not generally offered by building component manufacturers.

"By providing one-stop shopping for framing labor, building materials, trusses, and panels, we solve problems for our customers quickly and efficiently," says IT Manager Matt Carson. "Selecting an integrated system to replace our customized, DOS-based system is a way for us to increase productivity so we can continue exceeding the needs of our customers."

When Modu Tech goes live on DEACOM in November of 2008, the company will utilize the configurable software system to maintain optimum inventory levels and plan purchases with DEACOM Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and also bill customers based on the percentage of job completion through DEACOM Progress Billing, which are integrated functions of the DEACOM ERP System.
