Viecore FSD Sponsors Golf Tournament to Benefit TAPS

Viecore FSD, a contractor to the U.S. military, is hosting the first annual Golf Scramble to benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS),This event will be held on June 9th at the Sun Eagles Golf Course at Fort Monmouth, NJ. The format is a best ball scramble, with prizes for low team scores, long drives and closest to the pin.

“Viecore FSD – a member of the Fort Monmouth community – is sponsoring the TAPS charity golf scramble to raise awareness and support for the surviving families of our fallen servicemen and women. The money we raise for programs, especially the kids’ grief camps, provides them with a place where they can share their pain and begin to rebuild their lives,” said Jack Gumbert, COO of Viecore FSD.

As a nation, we mourn the loss of every fallen American service member. After the memorial service ends and the flag is folded, a family or loved one must rebuild their life and nurse a broken soul. TAPS provides surviving families with a supportive atmosphere in which they can find comfort and healing among others who have suffered a similar loss.
